Getting back to it after long weekend

Had a great weekend with grandma Wetzel!

I "caught" Mark playing one of the word games that I had taught him last week when he was playing with his iPad by himself!  So cool!  It was the Sight Words app....it has sight words up to 3rd grade...

Working on listening...

...a lot of the new apps and "games" that we have been doing on the iPad require Mark to listen.  This is really challenging for him.  I can see him really concentrating...LOVE IT!

Lots of trouble with big and little still...

Late start...

...but did good with middle sounds...so much better than I thought.  I was worried it would be too difficult for him.  Also, did more big/little and I think he can get it if he just slows down to concentrate!

Writing today...

...so our iPad was dead this morning so we did a few spelling words with writing.  You can see how the writing is much more difficult for Mark.  Several times, he just started making circle after circle after circle...he gets "stuck" easily...

Mark seems to be REALLY into the spring fever.  It's been hard to get him to sit down and concentrate.  I have been playing around with some different apps and I think I will keep exploring these for a few more days but hope to see what each one is about and then decide on one at a time to work on...
